Book a private sewing lesson at The Sandy Seamstress in Wailuku, Maui! Private lessons are perfect for beginners, friends, families, small groups, or anyone looking for personalized, hands-on sewing instruction.

Lessons can be customized to your group’s skill level and interests. Learn the basics, build your sewing skills, or request a specific project you’d like to work on.

1–2 people — $150
3–5 people — $250
6 people — $300
7 people — $350

What’s Included

Sewing machines, basic sewing tools, and general lesson supplies are included. No sewing machine or previous experience is required!

If you would like to work on a specific project, additional fees may apply for fabrics, patterns, notions, or specialty supplies needed to complete your project. Please let us know what you'd like to make when booking so we can help plan your lesson.

Request Your Date & Time

When booking, you can request your preferred date and time for your private lesson.

We will contact you in advance to confirm your requested time. If your selected date or time is unavailable, we'll work with you to schedule another day or time that works for your group.

We are located on the second floor.

The entrance to the stairs is located on Market Street. Look for the glass door labeled “16 S. Market St.” — this door leads to the stairway.

At the top of the stairs, turn right. The Sandy Seamstress is located straight ahead, slightly to the left.
